Recently moved to Tauranga after closing my first startup (Anteater), and had taken a full time job at the University of Waikato. (Feb 2019)
PROBLEM
Concern of a wilting entrepreneurial spirit.
OBJECTIVES
Mentor at Tauranga startup weekend 2019.
HYPOTHESES
Immersing myself amongst entrepreneurs and future changemakers will be energizing and inspiring. It will lead to more opportunities in the entrepreneurial space.
PROGRESS
Mentoring at Startup weekend 2019 completed. Afterwards, was asked to coach the winning team in the Entrepreneurial Navigator’s pilot.
IMPACT
Feeling of personal validation, improved confidence, other opportunities come easier now.
OUTCOMES TO DATE
Met some interesting people. Improved my coaching & mentoring skills. Learned more about facilitation. Better understanding of Tauranga’s startup ecosystem.
