Every school holidays we hear all about Codebrite! But how did Venture Centre’s weekly term sessions of CodebriteTT go? And is it for your child?
When eight children get together to code, some pretty awesome creations happen. There are games, there are websites, and there are even photo editors.. Read more to see what some of these codebriters have made!
Te Koha - Website
Combining his love for Avengers with coding, Te Koha has made a website that includes information, images, links, and videos. And this was only his first project! Click the image to see his website.

Loretta - Game
Can you win at Loretta’s Food Frenzy Game? She has created the code for all the objects, character movement, and timer. The rules are simple, eat all the food before the timer goes off! To play the game, click on the image.

Estelle - Photo Editor
Estelle, our youngest coder has made a Photo Editor where you can snap a photo, pick filters and add icons. If you’d like to try it out, click the image. I’m sure you can make a funny photo!

As you can see, these Codebriters have learnt to code a variety of digital creations in only 8 weeks. If you know your child would love to code similar creations and more, then CodebriteTT is for them! Codebrite is a series of 90-minute project-based sessions and starts on Tuesday 31 July 3:30 pm till 5:00 pm and will run for 8 consecutive weeks* on Tuesdays, same time same place! However get in quick, as there is a minimum number for this workshop series to run. You will be advised on Friday July 27th if it is not running and reimbursement or credit options will be offered.
